Into the Woods at Occidental College
Into the Woods is one of Shivani’s favorite musicals, so when was asked to jump on board as a choreographer, she immediately said yes! A monumental undertaking by Occidental College, the entire cast (actors and orchestra) and crew stepped up to this challenge. A three hours show with large cast of 27 actors plus an orchestra, this show had an intensely focused rehearsal process. A bright new take on this show set it in the 70’s playing of 70’s character archetypes as they related to our favorite fairytale characters. All topped off with a disco ball moon in the forest, comedy in threes, and groovy 70’s dance numbers to close out both Acts!
