Bio

A versatile actor, Shivani can traverse the landscape of exuding raw vulnerable emotion in realistic drama to being an animated quirky comedic actress with impeccable timing.

Trained by the best, Shivani has studied with Howard Fine (Howard Fine Studios), Margie Haber and Robin Dale Mayer (Margie Haber Studios), Jeff Perry and Alexandra Billings (Steppenwolf), and has been a multi-scholarship recipient of the illustrious improv school The Groundlings! She started her theatrical journey at University of Southern California where she graduated cum Laude with a BA in Theater and a minor in Film Production. Her recent film/tv credits include the comedic short “Melons” that premiered at the Cleveland International Film festival and has had subsequent screenings at the San Diego Film Festival, “Four Samosas” which is premiering at the revered Tribeca Film Festival 2022, and “Sharpie Hands” which is currently in post-production. Shivani has appeared in various theater productions in Los Angeles spanning both classical and contemporary text. She is currently an actor and teaching artist with the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum and is serving on the board of directors at A Noise Within Theater, Pasadena. She recently appeared in a staged reading of a new play “ABCD” by Lily Abha Cratsley and directed by Reena Dutt in the 2022 New Works Festival. Shivani’s theatre and film work has also included movement choreography (please see choreography page for further details), directing/assistant directing, and producing.
